If Copy and Paste Not Working in MS Word

 


The problem can occur when your clipboard is full of tasks. Usually, the clipboard can hold only 24 items to process copy paste task but sometimes even after closing word or excel sheet it can be there in the clipboard task list. To fix the issue we would need to clear the clipboard list.

Steps

  1. On your home tab in the left-top corner, there is a small arrow in the corner next to the text appear as "Clipboard" as shown in the picture given above.
  • Now the Clipboard menu will appear with a list of tasks it holds as you can see in the picture given above.
  • Under the clipboard heading, you will see two buttons "Paste All" and "Clear All". Click "Clear All" and all the tasks help by clipboard will be removed. Then you can try copy-pasting to see if it is working.
